Eserve an oil and gas engineering company, has been awarded an engineering survey services contract in West Africa.

The contract will see the Aberdeen-based business deliver engineering survey services utilising a newly developed survey workflow that has recently proven up to a 75% cost reduction against the traditional survey methods by dramatically reducing the time spend onsite. The Eserve team have already mobilised to take on the first scope of work.

Dan Millard, Co-founder and Director of Eserve said: “We are delighted to be awarded this formal contract. We have made a huge investment into developing our survey capabilities to enable us to be the most competitive and reactive topside survey service in the market. We will continue to keep investing and developing this capability so we are not only ahead of our competitors but also playing a vital part to reduce overall spend for a sustainable long term future in the O&G and other industries. We are looking forward to successfully completing this contract and further opportunities it may bring. Click for Energy Voice – Eserve Africa contract article

Eserve International is closely working with the Oil & Gas Technology Centre (OGTC) to further develop a new intelligent dimensional control survey and design platform, which could deliver significant cost-savings for North Sea operators.

Eserve’s intelligent platform provides a bespoke interface to extract laser scan data into a dimensional control environment, meaning we can reduce a survey team from 2 to 1 and will also allow us to do all the time consuming survey work from the office computer screen instead of onsite.

The current onsite dimensional control survey method using a theodolite is a time-consuming and expensive workflow, which impacts heavily on bed space and travel logistics for reactive scopes of work.

Dan Millard, Co-founder and Director of Eserve, said: “We’re delighted to have received funding & support from the Technology Centre for this project. It became clear after speaking with a number of major operators that the turnaround time for surveys is a significant issue to which our platform can offer a cost-effective and efficient alternative, which is already showing a 73% overall cost saving based on recent case studies.”

Eserve is pleased to announce that we have successfully secured 3 new contract wins in 2018 to capture and create offshore asset digital twins syncing with our bespoke in-house digital control platform co-funded with the oil and gas technology centre (OGTC)

Eserves’ in-house Survey and Engineering Design team is focused on reacting efficiently, controlling turnaround time and reducing overall spend to operation improvements, maintenance issues and critical repair jobs.
